SMD carpentry was founded by Sean McDermott
Sean has over eleven years’ experience in all aspects of the carpentry trade. During this time he completed a four year apprenticeship in carpentry/joinery with the Irish state training agency FAS.
During his apprenticeship Sean learned his craft under the guidance of an experienced and highly skilled master craftsman. He spent a lot of this time working in a joinery shop, which has given him a keen eye for detail and precision craftsmanship.
After his apprenticeship Sean went to work for a domestic builder where he was the lead carpenter for six years.
Being both passionate and expert in carpentry he decided to set up his own business to provide an excellent and customer-friendly carpentry service.
